Itinerary for our Mull and Iona Tours:
Day 1:
Through the green hills of Trossachs we reach Balquhidder to meet the fairies and legendary rogue Rob Roy MacGregor. After that, we make our way through the Southern Highlands to spend the afternoon in the port town of Oban. Here we visit charming Dunollie Castle and take a walk admiring a West Coast sunset.
Day 2:
Morning ferry carries us to the Isle of Mull. After a short drive we arrive in the colourful capital of Tobermory and venture on foot to a picturesque lighthouse. In the afternoon, we embark on an epic drive along the western shores of the island, stopping to appreciate numerous beaches and waterfalls. We end the day with an evening beach stroll near Fionnphort.
Day 3:
A small boat carries us to the Isle of Iona – birthplace of Scottish Christianity and home to a thriving community. We start with some seal-spotting on the northern beaches. Then it’s time for a visit to Iona Abbey to learn its history full of saints, kings and clan chiefs. Finally, we discover the natural beauty of the western part of the island. An evening ferry takes us back to Mull.
Day 4:
We make our way along the southern coast of Mull to reach the ferry to the mainland – just in time for some of the best seafood Scotland has to offer. Then the road leads back to the national park, where we take time to appreciate the peaceful Loch Lomond.
