Looking ahead - Our first blog post

Brambling Bus | 31 August 2020

We found ourselves in a strange situation this year: we are a young, family-run touring company, but so far we were unable to travel anywhere around our beautiful country. The lack of trips with our guests motivated us to share our stories and insights in a new way - this blog post is the beginning of a different kind of journey.

New Blog - Brambling Bus

Year 2020 is proving to be a challenging one for many different reasons. This wee company blog is not the place to talk about climate or social change, the tragic effects of the pandemics or the heroism of frontline key workers around the globe. But there’s no escaping the fact that this spring and summer were very difficult for Scottish tourism sector, affecting hotels and B&Bs, visitor attractions, and of course travel companies like Brambling Bus.

In the safety of lockdown we did as much as we could from our home office in Stirling. We stayed in touch with the customers we were hoping to meet this year and luckily many of them were able to postpone rather than cancel their travels – so we will still get to share our favourite places and stories with them in the future. We also came up with a few new tours and updated our website to fit all our fresh ideas. Apart from that, we cooked good things, caught up with our to-watch list and enjoyed seeing our friends and family doing well over video calls.

Still hoping to enjoy the tail end of this unusual season, we are going to post something interesting for you every second week, starting with some advice for safe post-COVID travelling. Maybe you will find useful information, some of you might get inspired, some might even decide to reach out and hop on a tour with us. This blog is going to be personal and subjective, because there’s many ways to love Scotland and we will show you our own. Good to have you on board!
