Go back in time with time-travel drama

Our Outlander tours with guide were designed for both die-hard fans of the saga and those who just recently got swept off their feet with Claire and Jamie’s story. The book series and TV show have been huge hits and contributed greatly to Scotland’s record visitor numbers last year. We know that the dramatic story spanning between post-war Britain and mid-18th c. Highlands will inspire more travellers and with them in mind created three short tours through the major film set locations.

Thanks to different duration they can be easily fitted into your Scottish itinerary: if you only have one day, hop on our essential Outlander tour including both Castle Leoch and Lallybroch; over two days you can experience a longer trip with visits to Falkland, Culross and Drummond Castle gardens; while with our full Outlander tour you can expect three days filled with location spots, production stories and Highland scenery, including a visit to the Culloden Battlefield. No matter which option you choose, your private guide will bring both Outlander’s story and real history to life as you travel in style across Scotland.

Fly high with The Boy Who Lived

One thing you should know about us: we’re big Harry Potter fans. Knowing that Hogwarts is a Highland castle (and seeing that amazing mountain scenery in the movies) was one of the reasons why we wanted to explore this part of Scotland. When we sat down to design a Harry Potter tour, we wanted to make it accessible and immersive – and that’s how we came up with the idea of our tour House Cup!

At the beginning of the trip we’ll have a sorting quiz, assigning all members of your Potter Party into Hogwarts Houses. Then throughout the two day tour – as we travel up and down the country revealing all the stories, legends and inspiration behind J.K. Rowling’s writing – we’ll be having a location-based trivia competition, testing your knowledge of the Wizarding World and giving you a chance to win the coveted cup (or at least its weight in Chocolate Frogs)! With a full day of mischief at Alnwick Castle (Hogwarts in the first two movies) and all the Highland set locations including Glenfinnan Viaduct along the way, we want to make your trip truly magical!

Taste the Water of Life at the spring

For a different flavour of travel we went for two Scottish classics: whisky tours taking you to regions legendary for the golden goodness they produce. Whether you are a single malt connoisseur or just taking your first steps into the fascinating world of Scotch whisky tasting, you’ll be sure to enjoy a personalised and fully guided tour where all you have to do is sit back, relax and wonder what the next distillery has come up with…

On our guided Speyside Whisky Tour we’ll dive into the history and culture of Scotch over three days of touring and give you a chance to discover the birthplace of the world’s favourite malts. Aberlour, Macallan, Glenfiddich and Glenlivet are just some of the places we might nip in for a tasting, but if you have any particular distillery you’d like to tour – we’ll make it happen. After all, that’s the beauty of a private tour! To get a deeper understanding of the maturation process we’ll also visit Speyside Cooperage and – on the way up and down the country – compare the Speyside tastes to Highland malts in Edradour and Royal Lochnagar.

If what’s calling you is not only the Water of Life, but also the big blue sea, we’ve got another whisky fan favourite for you! On our Islay Private Tour you’ll get to explore the island home of the world-famous peaty whiskies. This 5-day trip of a lifetime will take you to all the Islay distilleries you always wanted to tour: Ardbeg, Ardnahoe, Bowmore, Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain, Caol Ila, Kilchoman, Lagavulin and Laphroaig! All with your private guide and at your own pace. With the drive to and from the island sorted as well (and yes, we’ll swing by some distilleries on the way…), all you have to do is bring yourself and your pals for a whisky tour like no other.
