Itinerary for our Private Tour of Isle of Skye:
Day 1:
Firstly, we drive north and take time to enjoy the green Trossachs, saying a quick “hi” to Stirling and Doune castles along the way. The road to the coast leads through one-of-a-kind Glen Coe and famous Glenfinnan, connected both with Bonnie Prince Charlie and Boy Wizard Harry.
Day 2:
Morning ferry carries us to Skye, so we can begin our journey in the land of spirits by visiting their Fairy Pools. After that, we drive to reach the westernmost tip of the isle and the lonely lighthouse of Neist Point. In the evening island’s cosy capital Portree awaits with its pubs and restaurants.
Day 3:
Nothing compares with Skye’s landscape and we get to see it all: from Old Man of Storr to Kilt Rock and Quiraing. Myths come to life for the last time in the Fairy Glen, before we leave the island. On our way we greet Eilean Donan castle and reach the banks of Loch Ness.
Day 4:
A morning drive along Loch Ness takes us to Urquhart Castle, the best place to spot old Nessie. After that, the road leads north to Inverness, where we stop for lunch and a quick tour. From there we make our way back through the Cairngorms National Park.
